Sky On Demand downloads the programmes you choose to your Sky Planner on the inbuilt hard drive of your Sky+HD digibox.
These downloads are done via the internet, not the satellite dish.
So even if you see the “no satellite signal” on the actual channel via the satellite, you can check the Sky On Demand service to see if the programme you want to watch is available via the internet.
